Nate pretends to be a robot and follows an algorithm to make a banana smoothie, but there are bugs in the program. He identifies the bugs and then resolves them by debugging. The first was a syntax bug which was an incorrect spelling of milk. The second was a logical bug. He missed out the instruction to pour the smoothie into a glass and put in a straw. Once the program was debugged, it ran smoothly and he was able to enjoy the banana smoothie.

Provide the children with some algorithms for everyday tasks but put in some syntax and logical bugs. The children must try to identify the bugs and then debug the program.
