A group of children recognise that they have different levels of anger and that their ability to control their anger depends on how angry they are. The children also identify the physical changes that they notice taking place in their bodies when they get angry.
The clip could be used to introduce the different levels of anger and to make pupils reflect on how to control this feeling. Pupils could fill in a chart with escalating grades of anger, for example having 'explosive' or 'furious' at one end and 'OK' at the other end. They could get ideas from the clip or use their own. Divide the class into small groups. Ask them to write down a situation that makes them feel angry either at home or school. They could then pass the paper around in their groups for each member to write a suggestion of what to do to control and avoid feeling that way. Discuss this later as a whole class encouraging pupils to share ideas and reactions.
