A girl waits at a bus shelter for a meeting and falls asleep. A young man arrives, but what is in his carrier bag?
Revise the meaning of first person and third person and discuss the importance of the personal pronoun 'I' when writing in the first person. Discuss with the children what they think is in the bag and then ask them to continue the story in either the first person or the third person. This could be done as a paired activity so that partners can then compare the two versions.
