Create your own winter wonderland with Mary Berry's gingerbread recipe. It makes a wonderful centrepiece for parties, and children will love it.
Equipment and preparation: you will need a piping bag with a medium plain and small nozzle; plus you will need to print off a downloadable pdf template of the gingerbread design.
- 375g/13oz unsalted butter
- 300g/10½oz dark muscovado sugar
- 150g/5½oz golden syrup
- 900g/2lb plain flour
- 1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tbsp ground ginger
