£2m Kelso traffic plans put on display

Plans for a £2m investment to help improve traffic flow around Kelso town centre have been put on public display.

The proposed scheme will see the town's Horsemarket and Woodmarket become one-way.

Some traders have voiced their opposition, fearing it could drive customers away.

Scottish Borders Council officials will be on hand in the Cross Keys Hotel on Friday and Saturday to answer questions.

A similar exhibition took place in the town two years ago but it is now hoped the proposals can be introduced on a trial basis in September.
