Police probe crash and shooting

Police in Glasgow have launched an investigation after a 29-year-old man was hit by a car and another man was shot.

A man was believed to have been hit by a vehicle in Royston Road, near Provanmill Road, at about 1500 BST.

Just under two hours later, a 24-year-old man is said to have arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound.

Strathclyde Police said it was not yet known whether the two incidents were linked.

A forensic investigation was being carried out in Royston Road.

Both men are being treated in hospital, police said.
