Work on a £140,000 project to increase road safety for pedestrians and cyclists has been completed in Worcestershire.

A toucan crossing has been installed in Worcester Road, Malvern, improving links to a nearby retail park, Worcestershire County Council said.

Footpaths have been widened for use by pedestrians and cyclists, and a ramp has been installed for disabled access.

Residents in the area have supported the new crossing.

Councillor Derek Prodger MBE said: "We are delighted to announce that this new crossing has been completed.
