A 67-year-old woman was airlifted off Snowdon after slipping while walking down the peak.
Six members of Llanberis mountain rescue team and two from RAF Valley's rescue team were ferried by helicopter to the base of clouds.
They helped her down to where she could be flown by rescue helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor for treatment on Wednesday afternoon.
Rescuers said she was part of a well-equipped group from Wirral.
The women were on Llanberis Path above the mountain railway station at Clogwyn, when the woman slipped suffering a bad cut above the ankle.
