CCTV images show Zoe Nelson's last movements
Detectives hunting the killer of Lanarkshire teenager Zoe Nelson have released CCTV images showing her last known movements.
The pictures were taken by security cameras in a local store at about 1730 BST on Saturday, shortly before she disappeared.
The 17-year-old's burned body was discovered in woodland in Wishaw on Sunday.
Police also revealed a confirmed sighting of Zoe on Cambusnethan Street on Saturday evening.
Det Supt Derek Robertson, who is leading the murder inquiry: "The pictures capture exactly how Zoe looked on the day she went missing.
"She had these clothes on when she left the house - grey jogging bottoms, a white long sleeved T-shirt and black and pink Nike trainers.
"We have also had a confirmed sighting of her on Cambusnethan Street, walking towards the Cambusnethan area, about 1740 hours on Saturday."
He added: "These little bits of information are essential to our enquiry. They allow us to piece together her movements and will ultimately establish what happened to her and lead to us catching her killer."
Zoe was seen by her mother leaving her home in Newmains at about 1700 BST on Saturday.
Local residents reported seeing a fire a few hours later at 2320 BST in an area known as the Monkey Hill, where the body of the Motherwell College student was discovered by a passer-by on Sunday afternoon.
Extra officers have been drafted to help with the investigation and are trawling through CCTV footage to glean more information.
An appeal has also been posted on various social networking sites and posters appealing for information will be placed in high profile spots around the area to encourage the public to contact police.
Speaking earlier to BBC Scotland Det Supt Robertson said his team would also set up a Bebo page to encourage young people to come forward with information.
He added: "We know there are young people who might not want to engage if they were doing something they maybe shouldn't be - I would say to them 'listen forget about that - it is more important we catch Zoe's killer'.
