Jersey landlords' call to rewrite licensing laws

Jersey's licensing laws should be completely rewritten, according to landlords in the island.

They have claimed the industry cannot more forward unless the 30-year-old laws are brought up to date.

The British Institute of Innkeeping said the time it is taking to bring proposed legislation to the States for debate is letting landlords down.

But Senator Alan Maclean said there was a number of departments involved, which made it more complicated.
