Teenage girl sexually assaulted on Staines footpath

A 15-year-old girl has been seriously sexually assaulted in Surrey.

Police said the victim was walking down a footpath in Staines on Monday night when the offender got out of a nearby vehicle and approached her.

He then pushed her against a wall and carried out the assault, before she pushed him away and ran from the scene.

Det Sgt Sean Kelly said it was a serious offence that left the young victim shaken and frightened.

He said the attack happened on a footpath leading from Mill Mead to Waters Drive at about 2245 BST.

The man was described as white, in his 30s, with blond hair and a medium build, wearing black trousers, a white top, and black boots.
