Man held after woman found dead in Burnage

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in a house in south Manchester.

Police were called to the property in Glenhurst Road, Burnage, at 0900 BST by North West Ambulance Service.

They discovered the body of a woman, thought to be aged in her 20s.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning. Police said inquiries were continuing.
