New MP Tristram Hunt makes maiden Commons speech
Television historian Tristram Hunt hailed his constituency's history in his maiden speech in the Commons.
The Stoke-on-Trent Central Labour MP highlighted the city's famous ceramics and pottery industry.
He said Stoke-on-Trent has become "the premier global brand name for ceramics" since the 1770s.
During debate on the Queen's Speech, he hit out at plans for constitutional reform, labelling them "ill-thought out".
Mr Hunt was selected as the Labour candidate for the seat after Mark Fisher announced he was standing down after 27 years due to ill health.
