Dizzee Rascal to be TV talent show judge on Sky1
Rap star Dizzee Rascal is to star as a TV talent judge on new Sky1 series Must Be The Music.
He will be joined on the panel by Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri and jazz artist Jamie Cullum.
The auditions, which took place last month, were open to performers of any age or musical style.
Dizzee said he wanted to give musicians a break and the winner will win £100,000 to help kick-start their music career.
The winning act will be chosen during a live final at a major music venue, Sky have said.
"I know that some people may feel that their unique approach to music doesn't normally have a voice, but they are exactly who we are looking for - genuine talent in whatever form it takes," said Cullum.
Spiteri, who enjoyed hits with Texas including I Don't Want A Lover and Say What You Want, said the panel wanted to "encourage unsigned and undiscovered talent".
Dizzee and actor James Corden recently joined forces to record a song to mark the World Cup.
The rapper's chart-topping singles include Dirtee Disco, Dance Wiv Me, Bonkers and Holiday.
Cullum made his first television appearance on Parkinson in 2003 and went on to release his third album, Twentysomething, after signing a £1m contract with Universal. The album went platinum and he ended the year as the UK's biggest selling jazz artist of all time.
Must Be The Music will be screened in August.
