Three public toilet blocks in west Devon could be closed in an effort to save money.

West Devon Borough Council said it was reviewing the funding of the toilets in Okehampton, Yelverton and Tavistock.

If the facilities are closed, the council has estimated it could save more than £30,000 a year.

The toilets at Mill Road, Okehampton, Leg O Mutton, Yelverton and Tavistock bus station, all suffer from vandalism and anti-social behaviour.

The council said the review would also include investigating the potential for transferring its full stock of 15 public conveniences to parish councils, town councils or other interested organisations.

The matter will be debated by the council next week.
