Man recalls Aberdeen 'prison murder attempt'
A Polish prisoner has told how he was the victim of a racially-aggravated attempted murder bid with a weightlifting bar in Aberdeen's Craiginches Prison.
Daniel Kaizer, 28, said it had changed his personality, resulting in memory loss and daily headaches.
Speaking through an interpreter, he told the High Court in Inverness: "My skull was broken. I had a hole in it."
Keith Porter, 22, denies attempting to murder Mr Kaizer in December.
Three co-accused deny assaulting another Polish inmate, Lukasz Rusek, on the same date at the prison gym by repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury.
The Crown claims the alleged attack by George Stewart, Matthew Greig and Sean Laurenson was also racially-aggravated.
The trial continues on Tuesday.
