A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a multi-storey car park in Devon has been released on bail.

The body was found on the lower levels of the Fleet Walk Car Park, Carey Parade, Torquay, at about 2100 BST on Thursday.

She is believed to have fallen from the top of the car park.

A 45-year-old Torquay man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has now been released on bail.

The identity of the woman has not been confirmed. However, it was thought that the victim and the suspect were known to each other, police said.

Officers said they were treating the death as suspicious but were not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry.

The man arrested in connection with the incident is due to answer bail on 28 July.
