What attracted you to politics?

Gordon Brown was bankrupting Britain and I wanted to stop him.

What's the best/worst thing about being an MP?

Best - being in the debating chamber and hearing the speeches.

Worst - all the lobbyists.

Who is your hero?

My husband.

What's your favourite song/piece of music?

I will survive (the Gloria Gaynor version).

How would you describe your fashion sense?

Classic.

What's your idea of a good night out?

A meal and a movie.

What can't you live without?

My contact lenses.
