A flatbed truck burst into flames on a busy dual carriageway on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

A Grampian Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the alarm was raised at the airport roundabout, on the A96, at about 1115 BST.

A mechanical fault is being investigated as the possible cause the cab of the flatbed Ford Transit going on fire.

The male driver of the truck escaped injury.
