Arrests over gun killing in east London street

Detectives investigating the murder of a 23-year-old in a south-east London street have made three arrests.

Matthew Clement was found shot dead in Howson Road in Lewisham in the early hours of 30 May.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Monday and a 22-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday. A 25-year-old man was also arrested on 9 June.

All of the men were bailed to return to a south London police station in early August pending further enquiries.

Detectives from Operation Trident, which investigates crime within London's black community, are dealing with the case.
