Fatal Berkshire M4 crash driver was 'much-loved'
The family of a driver killed in a car crash in Berkshire have paid tribute to their "much-loved" relative.
Dennis Scott, 80, of Woodley, died at the scene when his Vauxhall Astra collided with an Audi A3 on the London-bound M4 near Reading.
His wife, who was a passenger in the car when it crashed on Saturday, remains seriously ill in hospital.
The driver of the Audi was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed.
Mr Scott's family said: "[He] was a much-loved and respected husband, father and grandfather who will be missed greatly by the whole family.
"Our thoughts and prayers are also with our mother who remains seriously ill in hospital."
All six lanes of the motorway were closed to allow two air ambulances and other emergency vehicles to get to the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses, especially anyone who saw an Astra driving with smoke coming out of it.
