A cement mixer has been moved after it was left hanging over homes in Derbyshire.

The vehicle was reversing on Farley Hill in Matlock at about 0830 BST when part of a suspended driveway collapsed.

Properties on Hackney Road, which runs below Farley Hill, were evacuated in case the vehicle fell from the ledge.

A crane was brought to help to pull the cement mixer clear and residents were allowed back to their homes after about two hours.

Police said structural engineers would inspect the area to make sure it was safe.
