Man found dead in car after crash in Lancashire field
A 24-year-old man has been found dead in a car which crashed in a field in Lancashire.
The man was found in a blue Ford Fiesta in the field off Moorside in Treales, near Kirkham, on Saturday morning.
Lancashire Police said the accident is believed to have happened sometime on Friday night but officers are trying to work out how the crash happened.
Anyone who may have seen the car travelling from Kirkham towards Wharles on Friday is urged to contact them.
Sgt Pete Beresford, leading the inquiry, said: "I would like to appeal to anybody who had seen a significant hole in the hedgerow off Moorside, or a blue Ford Fiesta travelling from Carr Lane onto Moorside towards Wharles.
"This appears to be a tragic incident involving the death of a young male driver and I would appeal for anyone who would be able to help us piece together what has happened to get in touch."
