Jury retires in Birmingham sister rape case
A jury has retired to consider its verdicts in the trial of two brothers accused of raping their younger sister.
The boys, aged 15 and 13, deny raping and sexually assaulting the girl, who was six years old, between September 2006 and May 2009.
The older brother has also pleaded not guilty at Birmingham Crown Court to sexually assaulting another sister who is now 10.
The boys live in Birmingham but cannot be named.
Their mother alerted authorities after the younger sister, now aged seven, claimed to have been abused.
The defendants have told the court that nothing sexual took place between them and their sister.
The younger of two brothers said on Monday that his mother was "paranoid" about contact between her children.
