A new war memorial has been unveiled in a Kent village.

Brenchley Parish Council has replaced the High Street monument after the original crumbled and could not be repaired.

Villagers raised £10,000 for the stonework, with help from a grant from the parish council and the War Graves Commission.

The memorial commemorates fallen servicemen and women from World Wars I and II.
