Police pursue England flag burner in Scottish Borders

Police are hunting a person who set fire to two England flags attached to a car in a Scottish Borders town.

The vehicle was parked on Hurkur Crescent in Eyemouth, a few miles from the Scotland-England border.

The car owner had been showing his support of the English World Cup team when the fire-raiser struck during the early hours of Saturday morning.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said the incident caused "minor damage".
