Man charged over death of Barrow father-of-three

A man has been charged over the death of a father-of-three in Cumbria.

David Crossman, 39, of Hartington Street in Barrow, was discovered unconscious in Aberdeen Street on Sunday night, and later died.

Lee Cooksey, 39, has been charged with manslaughter and will appear before Furness and District Magistrates' Court later, police said.

A 40-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released without charge.

The cause of Mr Crossman's death has not been released.
