Plea to taxi driver after assault in Redditch

A taxi driver who spoke to the victim of an assault in Worcestershire is being urged to contact police.

The victim in his 30s was assaulted in an unprovoked attack in Redditch by several men who got out of a car.

The man, who was walking home along Hewell Road in the early hours on 13 June, suffered face and arm injuries.

He was unable to describe his attackers or the vehicle they used, but spoke to a taxi driver at a roundabout by swimming baths on Hewell Road.

The victim, who was pushed over from behind and kicked while on the floor, walked home and was later taken to hospital.
