Warning against 'rogue traders' in County Durham

People living in County Durham have been warned against rogue traders operating in the area.

The safety message, "Not sure? Don't open the door" has been designed to highlight the dangers of allowing strangers into homes.

Durham Police has been working with other agencies to emphasise that people should be careful when agreeing to have work carried out on their property.

Roadside checks have been carried out to catch rogue traders.
