Sheep is rescued from riverbank near Kidderminster pub

A sheep had to be rescued from a riverbank in Worcestershire.

Firefighters and members of the RSPCA were called to near to the Anchor pub in Caunsall, near Kidderminster, on Saturday night.

The animal had somehow slipped down towards the riverbank by the pub and become trapped at about 2100 BST, fire crews said.

But firefighters and the RSCPA managed to safely reach it and rescue it using a boat at about 2330 BST.
