Man bailed in Bootle shooting inquiry

A man being questioned by detectives about a targeted shooting on Merseyside has been released on bail.

Officers were called to Warton Street in Bootle in the early hours of Saturday following a report of shots being fired.

They found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the buttock. No-one else was injured and the victim is in a stable condition.

A 24-year-old man, from Waterloo, was arrested but bailed on Monday.
