Man knocked over in Wisbech murder attempt

Police in Cambridgeshire are trying to trace a motorist who knocked over a man, leaving him with serious injuries.

The incident, which is being treated as attempted murder, happened in Boyces Road, Wisbech, on Sunday evening.

The 31-year-old victim was with another man when the 4X4 vehicle drove at them.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where his condition was described as serious but stable.

Det Insp Mike Branston appealed for anyone who saw the incident or saw a vehicle leaving the area to contact police.
