Aberdeen man arrested over A90 cannabis seizure

A man is due to appear in court after police in Aberdeenshire seized cannabis worth an estimated £166,000.

Acting on intelligence, drug squad officers from Grampian Police stopped a car on the A90 near Portlethen at about 2300 BST on Monday and found the resin.

A 55-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested and is expected to appear at the city's sheriff court.

Det Sgt Norman Stevenson said it highlighted how seriously the force took drug crime.
