Charity aid destroyed by arson

An arson attack has destroyed aid supplies about to be shipped to Romanian orphans.

An arson attack in Londonderry has destroyed aid supplies about to be shipped to Romanian orphans.

The fire at a portable building at the Rosemount Resource Centre was reported just before 0100 BST on Thursday.

Police said they believe the fire was started deliberately.

Centre Manager Tommy McCourt said it had destroyed months of work: "Children's nappies and small children's outfits are lying on a pile of rubbish and burnt out."

"It's pure destruction for no reason. It does make you angry," he continued.
