Mother and son held after drugs found at Shirley house

A mother and son have been arrested after several cannabis plants were found at a house.

Police searched an address in Shirley, Solihull and found several plants being grown in a bedroom and a number of small bags thought to contain cannabis.

A 36-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of harvesting cannabis plants and possessing drugs with intent to supply.

They were released on bail to reappear in August after tests are carried out.
