Man arrested after woman murdered, boy injured in Flint

A man aged 27 has been arrested after a 30-year-old woman was murdered and a young boy critically injured at a house in Flintshire.

North Wales Police said they were made aware of a disturbance at Cae Hir in Flint at around 0130 BST on Sunday.

Officers found the woman's body and a young boy with serious injuries.

North Wales Police said the boy is in a critical but stable condition in Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.


The man under arrest remains in custody, a force spokesperson said.

Officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the area.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Cae Hir area between 0030 and 0130 BST on Saturday.
