Driver seriously hurt in M25 crash in Surrey

A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on the M25 motorway.

Surrey Police said the driver, who is in his 20s and from Woking, was thrown from his Peugeot when it hit the crash barrier on the hard shoulder.

He is being treated at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which took place at junction 13 on the northbound carriageway at about 0420 BST.
