Teenage bikers injured in Isle of Man crash

Two teenage bikers were taken to hospital after they crashed on an Isle of Man road.

The 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man, both from Douglas, collided on the Snaefell Mountain Road near Kate's Cottage at about 1745 BST on Sunday.

Police said both motorcycles were travelling towards Ramsey when they collided.

The bikers were taken to Nobles Hospital by ambulance to be treated for serious injuries.

The road was closed for just over three hours while police investigated.

It reopened just after 2100 BST on Sunday.

The Isle of Man Constabulary appealed for witnesses to contact them.
