Boys rescued off Lincolnshire coast by lifeboat crew

Two boys have been rescued by lifeboat crews after they became stranded in their inflatable dinghy off the Lincolnshire coast.

The Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) was alerted at about 1155 BST on Sunday after reports two children had drifted out to sea at Ingoldmells Point.

The two boys, aged four and five, were brought safely back to land.

Inshore Lifeboat senior helmsman, Tony Kelly, said the boys had a lucky escape.

"The dinghy had been blown a long, long way out to sea when we arrived on scene", Mr Kelly said.

"Fortunately the boys had stayed on board enabling us to locate them quickly and get them safely back to the beach."
