Staffordshire car boot sale patrol 'successful'
A patrol at a car boot sale proved successful, after counterfeit goods sellers were deterred from setting up, a council said.
The sale off the A34 Cannock Road, Brocton, attracted some criminals selling fake DVDs, CDs and other goods, Staffordshire County Council said.
It said over Sunday's event trading standards officers picked up a number of abandoned tables early on.
They believe these would have been used to sell counterfeit goods.
Visible patrols by trading standards and police were paid for by the event organiser, the council said.
