Girl, 15, injured during assault in Boston

A 15-year-old girl has been hurt during an assault in a Lincolnshire town.

The assault took place on West Street, near to the bus station, in Boston just after 2000 BST on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said the victim suffered scratching to her face and swelling to one eye as a result of the incident.

Two 15-year-old girls have been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
