Man dies in hospital after crash in Charley

A man has died in hospital after two cars crashed on a Leicestershire road.

A Toyota Carina and a Toyota Avensis collided on the B591 Copt Oak Road in Charley on Monday night.

The driver of the Carina suffered serious injuries and was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, where he later died.

A woman, who was driving the Avensis, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and has since been released.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
