Man arrested over fatal car crash in Essex

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a fatal collision in Essex on 20 May.

Two cars crashed at the Romford Road and Woolhampton Way junction in Chigwell at 2200 BST.

Paul Slater, 36, from Dagenham was thrown from a Ford Fiesta and died at Queen's Hospital, Romford, police said.

A man from Romford was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and was bailed until 28 September pending further inquiries.
