Man in court over woman's murder at Flint

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 29-year-old woman at her home in Flint.

Krystian Krysztof Rozek is accused of stabbing Monika Wasko at Cae Hir. Police and paramedics were called to the property at 0130 BST on Sunday.

Mr Rozek, 27, is also charged with the attempted murder of Mrs Wasko's husband Rafael and an 11-year-old boy.

He was remanded in custody at Mold Magistrates' Court to appear before a crown court judge in Caernarfon.

During the short hearing Mr Rozek spoke with the aid of a Polish interpreter to confirm his name, date of birth and that he understood the allegations against him.
