A security alert which led to the evacuation of the Royal Mail sorting office in Tomb Street, Belfast, has ended.

Tomb Street was closed for a time but has since re-opened to traffic.

Army bomb experts examined a suspicious package discovered in the Royal Mail offices.

A number of items have been taken away for further examination and the police investigation is continuing.
