Tributes to Australian batsman Phillip Hughes

BBC News readers have been sharing their memories of the Australia Test batsman Phillip Hughes, who has died two days after being struck in the neck by a ball. Emails came in from:

Lewis Lebron: It is a sad moment for having lost such a great man. A passionate fan like me grieves when a such a sportsman is lost. May others strive to reach his heights. My great condolence to the family, friends, fans, relatives and entire cricket fraternity.

John Barry: The sad and tragic loss of a fine young man who also happened to be an exceptional cricketer. As an England supporter his grit and skill gave me great angst but I do so wish he would be doing it again this summer. Deep sympathies to Phil's family, friends and team mates.

Kumar Gaurav: A class player and indeed a pleasure to watch. His tour of South Africa where he scored a century in both the innings against the experienced line of Steyn and Morkel was really a treat. May his soul rest in peace. Condolence to his family. A huge loss to the cricketing fraternity.

Ramesh Desai in Zambia: Very sad to hear demise of Phil Hughes, Condolences to family and associates .Tragic loss to international cricket. Pray his soul rest in peace.
