EU health food rules begin to bite

A new European regulation is beginning to bite which requires health food companies to prove their products do what they say they do.

Companies have to submit scientific evidence to back up their claims, and so far the European authorities have rejected most submissions.

Claims associated with green tea and probiotic yoghurts are among those so far rejected.
