Estonia becomes first ex-Soviet State to join euro

Estonia will be celebrating not only New Year's Eve - but also its new currency: It will become the first ex-Soviet State to join the euro.

Many Estonians feel proud that their country has met the EU's tough budget criteria, but with the eurozone in crisis, some say it is not the best time to be joining.
