Mitt Romney ends overseas tour in Poland

The Republican candidate for the US presidency, Mitt Romney has paid tribute to the people of Poland on the final part of his overseas tour, four months before the election takes place.

Mr Romney said he had been inspired by the Polish fight for freedom from communist rule.

His visit was not marked by the controversy that surrounded his earlier visit to London, when he talked about the Olympics and his visit to Israel, when he angered the Palestinians.

Mark Mardell reports.
