Indonesia trade data to show exports continue falling

Indonesia is hoping increased spending by consumers will help to offset a continued fall in exports of commodities like coal.

Demand for commodities, produced by Indonesia's mining industry, is being hit by the fallout of problems like the debt crisis in Europe, or the faltering recovery of the American economy.

As the BBC's Karishma Vaswani reports from Jakarta, spending by the country's consumers could provide the economy with support, as exports weaken.
